Quick Notes: Coleslaw makes a quick easy side, but make sure that you provide it time to sit. The attempt was to make something akin to KFC’s recipe, so you’ll have to let me know if I was on the money or not.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups diced cabbage3 (as small as you can get it.)
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 3 tablespoons minced onions
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (regular vinegar is ok, too. I just like the additional sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • salt and white pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop all the veggies, and set aside in a bowl. 
  2. Mix remaining ingredients together in a separate bowl. 
  3. Pour the sauce over the veggies, and put it in the fridge.  It needs to sit in the fridge as long as possible.  Overnight is good, but at least 3-4 hours.   

Goes great on our Hotty Naughty Brättey Sliders, or as a side to our Instant Pot Buffalo Chicken Wraps!
